I was married once, and for me, the reason I did it was because I wanted to build a family and live the family life that I was accustomed to growing up. The reason I am not married now is because marriage in this country is a legal contract that is in no way fair to both parties!
I came from a "broken family" and was raised by a single mother. I had 2 younger sisters, both from different men, I had a lot of close encounters with crime and bodily injury to say the least as I experimented with the vices of the street. I always wanted to treat a woman with all of the love and respect that she deserves. I also wanted to be a father to my child. I wanted to have a full family like I would see the Europeans and the Cosby show would have. I've been married for over 25 years with a 15 year old son and I must say "God answered my prayers".
