About Me:
I am trying to get comfortable with this online format. I am not a multiple dater and I need to take things slow. I enjoy my job and I love learning new things. I love the West Coast of Florida. I am originally from the Tampa area and miss the beaches. I have warmed up to Central Florida because there are many things to do here.
I look forward to Fall each year because my favorite activities are beginning. I love the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. I don't drink the wine, but the food and music is something I look forward to and I go several times each year. Some fantastic concerts are coming up this year. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I always wear a costume and prefer to be with people who enjoy dressing up also and attending some spooky events. I already know my costume for this year, but I am not telling yet. I love other holidays also, but what is better than dressing up and getting/giving candy? (Maybe the perfect New Year's midnight kiss.)
I am actually a shy, quiet person most of the time in public, but I am not shy when alone with a person I trust. I prefer to be with an extrovert who is ok around an introvert, or another introvert who likes to be social and takes risks once in a while. I would like to be with someone who is just as comfortable reading quietly beside me or watching TV as they are at dancing and shouting at a rock concert (and yes, the Van Halen reunion was worth acting like a fool). I generally prefer to stay in during the work week and have outings on the weekends. I would like to be with someone who is interested in being physically fit, but not a fanatic about it. I try to eat healthy most of the time, but I will indulge in truly good food where the calorie intake is worth it. I am addicted to cupcakes, but I am trying to quit.
I could be a mix between a geek, an adventurer and an art enthusiast. I like to take lessons so I am an amateur at everything and only an expert at my job. I like to do things that are a bit daring also. I have been hanggliding, sailing, flying and windsurfing and would like to do more of each. I like to dance and push myself to do amateur performances even though they make me nervous. My exercise is aerial arts because I like climbing and hanging upside down. I like playing sports and any activities involving salt water. I am taking tennis lessons right now because I have always wanted to learn and hope to find a partner who will play also. I like the theme parks, and have a pass so I can just go for a couple of hours and enjoy instead of trying to do everything in one day. But, I also like to go to museums, art galleries, parks, gardens, historical houses, and performing arts. I love most genres of movies including foreign and like to go to the theaters and watch at home. I mainly listen to classic rock and oldies. Some of my favorites are Kansas, Jackson Browne, Marc Cohn, George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and Styx. I also like 80's music, Motown, and R&B. I prefer live music and like to go to places where the music and food are good. B.B. King's is an example.
I am nostalgic and love art deco and atomic age design. I want to go back to visit New York City, Boston and Nantucket and the Florida Keys. I would love to visit London and Paris, National Parks, Vancouver, and some ancient ruins in South America. Most of my vacations involve the beach because I love breathing salt air and just can't get enough of it.
